Natural Café

Natural Café is a café and restaurant that located in the 100-year-old lychee garden named Pomjai garden, surrounded by many local plants and placed along the Bang Khun Thian Canel. Here is also maintain antique culture and lifestyle of a local village that hard to find in Bangkok nowadays.

Natural Café, New Bamboo Café, was built in harmony with construction of an old wooden house instead of demolishing and rebuilding. The building is gable. It is designed with a simple shape, but hidden by a modern detail. The selected bamboo has been graded only beautiful surface and straight form to create the feeling of calmness. From inside the building, a bamboo structure serves as a picture frame of the green garden like a star, but it provides the nature to be shining as a moon to fulfil a full of beauty.

Every piece of Bamboos was treated with boron by cold soaking method from Thor.Kaichon. The bamboo, we used, is Thai bamboo sourced from western, central and northern regions. There are many types of bamboo that are used in the project for example, the pillar structure used Pai-Tong (Dendrocalamus asper), the roof frame and ceiling used Pai-Sangmon (Dendrocalamus sericeusMunro) and the decoration part used Pai-Ruak (Thyrsostachys siamensis). The construction period takes 6 weeks.
